Describe the bug
Was traveling at 200mph in my vehicle, hit 4 twice to begin left turn, then s to spin out of control, ended up doing 125mph sideways. Hit 8 to set new speed to 10, then 2 to go back to zero. Vehicle instantly stopped. Have tried this six times, and as long as you end up completely sideways from your initial direction of travel, you can instantly stop regardless of speed. Was able to verify in basegame with no mods.

This requires high levels of driving skill, and is highly dependent on luck in how the vehicle ends up facing - a perfect 90 degree spin allows an instant stop, anything else just lets you change speed quickly.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Get a vehicle going very high speed in a straight line
  2. Go out of control (tap turn twice then s for handbrake for out of control at will)
  3. Depending on new heading, you can alter your speed massively as it considers forwards speed to be total speed if you change your speed settings.

Expected behavior
Going high speed forward, sliding, then hitting gas/brakes should alter your speed, not set your speed to forward only and alter that.

I have definitely seen this too, only at lower (60-70 mph) speeds. Using the handbrake while sideways will also stop you completely.

Reproduced it on today's 0.D.
