Describe the bug

I was happily trying to dismantle a fridge, but then it started to take a long time, so I gave up, installed the fridge once again, so I could smash it.

To my dismay, I realized my character started to hit the linoleum floor, I tried to walk way, and come back but, but alas, the issue persisted.

And, a little extra, when I originally took down the fridge, I just needed screwdriving and prying, but for some reason to dismantle it now I need also bolt turning 2? 🤔

Edit:
Considering other messages below, I can see that the bashing appliances have more bugs associated:

  • We are actually hitting the fridge, but the messages are falsely saying we are hitting the floor
  • The drops are quite different than what we would get by bashing a regular fridge
  • They also became way harder to bash down

Steps to reproduce

  1. Uninstall a fridge from a house
  2. Install as appliance
  3. Try to smash it
  4. Or try to take it down, it will need different tools now.

Expected behavior

I would expect to be able to smash the fridge or to take it down to need the exact same tools that I had

There seem to be multiple issues here. Despite the floor message, the sound does indicate you're actually hitting the fridge. And after whacking it around 20 times with a large wooden club (26 bash + 8 strength), I was indeed able to slightly damage the fridge. Homewrecker was enough to destroy it. It did only drop a single chunk of steel, which also seems wrong.

The bug then seems related to the code for bashing things not being changed to accommodate appliances... It would be nice if OP changed the title accordingly.

To what exactly?

"Bashing code was not updated to destroy appliances... yo"

"Incorrect message and drops when bashing appliances" would be fine I think.

"Incorrect message and drops when bashing appliances" would be fine I think.

Well, but I think the fridge gained some extra health points too, because it didn't want to break at all after I installed it

So I might change it to "various issues when trying to bash installed appliances"
