Can't create a character

If I go to create a character on a world it just doesn't let me, I also can't see where to change mods

Every time I go to create a custom character this pops up

I've only played this game once on an older version but now I've installed (what I think) is the latest version it doesn't work.

There is no furniture.json in that directory, you have stray files in your installation. Based on your description, most likely you installed overtop of an old version. You cannot do this, we do not support it. Please install the game to a fresh folder without any existing files.
