I appreciate the framing and orientation you've taken for this workshop! Just a couple of things I have in mind that may be useful.
Abstract
The opening sentence "By this point in our academic careers, most of us have figured out some ways we like to interact with computers" can sound a little intimidating to someone who is very nervous about/around computers/tech, especially since this will be the first thing they read in one of the very first workshops they take. This is especially so because tone is hard to gauge in writing. Perhaps something more inviting that remind folx that they have already been interacting with their computers can be useful?
Ethical Considerations
I think Wendy Chun's writing is really great here! Maybe a little elaboration of what the quote, especially the sentence "The command line is a mere operating system (OS) simulation" can be helpful for understanding?
