Advocacy Training for Community Health WorkersAdvocacy Training for Community Health Workers is now a Digital Public Good Providing evidence on the importance of health information in local languages and the role of culturally tailored content in combatting misinformation. We found that people who watched the videos were nearly 2x as likely to get vaccinated as those who did not. Caring for Sick Children in the Community: A free digital course that supports blended learning initiatives for community health workers. To support CHWs in this work, we developed an open-access digital refresher course with Lwala Community Alliance, One to One Africa, Philani Maternal, Child Health and Nutrition Trust, and an advisory group of CHWs. All resources are open-access, freely available for use by the global community, and can complement standard training and provide additional guidance on key topics. Preparing for Disease X: Collaborating with the WHO Health Emergencies Programme to improve digital education readiness for health emergencies. Sharing Stanford’s medical expertise with global communities to spread high-need health information and combat misinformation. By the end of 2023, we will have published 126 videos featuring Stanford Medicine experts explaining essential information in both English and Spanish. The videos span topics in mental health, oncology, infectious diseases, obstetrics and gynecology, and more. As of November 2023, the videos have over 2.5 million views on YouTube. |

For the Digital Public Goods Alliance, this year has been a journey of growth, adaptation, alignment, and maturity. The 2023 State of the Digital Public Goods Ecosystem report highlights this journey and the collective actions that over 40 DPGA members and 150+ digital public goods, undertook this past year to help uplift the prominence, understanding, and advancements of digital public goods globally.
Even though not all DPG achievements were mentioned in this report, please share in this thread some of the great stuff that happened in 2023/early 2024.
