I'm doing a seablock / angels playthrough, and for oil refining you've got about 5 million different hydrocarbons, all of which are very similar icons, and thus very similar default line colours. Being able to label them in bright pink or whatever even though it's a "black" thing would be really useful for ease of readability later on.

I will leave this open as a possible feature down the line. I can see how the number of 'gray' colors can be an issue, but at the moment there isnt anything available for manually setting the colors.
Maybe a color palette selection? Where clicking on the item box brings up a color change option (select color for given item to be used for all such items + select a pattern like dashed, dotted, etc). Having a custom color/style for each line would be too complicated to incorporate though...
