It looks like all dediprogs have to start and stop at the same time. You can't launch multiple copies of dpcmd to program boards with different USB Index's. So programming multiple devices that start independently is not OK.

No, currently dediprog Linux dpcmd does not support multiple devices.
But it is able to support multiple devices under Windows.
