Can you add support for Australia / Asia / America / Africa ?

It is often requested if the mytoyota library can be extended to also provide support for connected Toyota vehicles outside of Europe.

When the development of this mytoyota library was started, it was thought that it was possible to make a global library for all Toyota vehicles worldwide. But we later realised that this is very difficult as each region has its own mobile app and backend servers that do not share anything in common with the other regions.

The actual implementation of Toyota Connected Services is very different for each region. We believe that the systems in different regions are build by different Toyota partners and therefor they are incompatible with each other. Also different computer techniques are used to communicate and authenticate to these systems, and the amount of data and possibilities is also different for each region.

The mytoyota library can be used for connecting to Toyota vehicles that are sold in Europe.
The ha-toyota-na library can be used for connecting to Toyota vehicles that are sold in North America.

We can only hope that for the other regions someone in the future creates their own library, or you can start the journey to develop it
