A user does not have a reliable way to provide the reversible blocks (which are stored in the unconfirmed block DB but not in the block log since they aren't yet irreversible) to another party, because the shared_memory.bin files are not portable.

This can be a problem when a block that is not yet irreversible is the cause of a crash or bug, and the user has no way to provide it to a developer for analysis.

This was resolved by PRs #4253 and #4680.
