As I discussed a few weeks back with @ekluzek, these calls of sys.path.insert() are necessary in order for the RXCROPMATURITY test to work, I think because it’s calling the scripts during the run phase.
It’d be better to minimize the code required for this, though. One option would be to add the needed directory to PYTHONPATH before Python, although I wonder if the use of conda run would overwrite that.
I originally put this in the CTSM SE Meetings notes, but I think it works better here. @ekluzek had replied:
Yes, I’d like to not have to add python path handling in our python modules, in order to do that we need the python path handling handled in the top level skeleton scripts, and in this case at the top level testing level.
