typing Backspace once would delete two Chinese characters

Release     : 1.fc19

How reproducible:
Every time

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Go to a bbs site (I'm using bbs.sjtu.edu.cn)
2. Post something
3. While editing, typo backspace

For example, the previous article is
“你好世界”
After typing backspace

Actual results:
“你好”

Expected results:
“你好世”

Additional info:
Backspace works fine with ASCII symbols/characters
