This page contains the background material for a single (extended) day tutorial. In this tutorial, the students learn how to build a simple SMPS buck converter based LED driver using the Ell-i Arduino + Power-over-Ethernet development environment.
The tutorial consists of four parts: basics of Arduino, what Ell-i brings to Arduino, a few sections on electrical isolation, multi-voltage design, and using an oscilloscope, and finally set of sections that contain the topic-specific material.
- Arduino Development environment
- Arduino Atmel 8-bit AVR MCUs
- Arduino prototyping with a breadboard
- Arduino basic digital output
- Sensors used in the tutorial
- [DS18B22 Temperature sensor](Components DS18B22 Temperature sensor)
- [DHT22 Humidity sensor](Components DHT22 Humidity sensor)
- [HC-SR04 Ultrasound](Components HC-SR04 Ultrasound)
- Arduino getting input from Sensors
