Note for developers

New feature

Engine

  • New user profile REST API.
  • New Timestamp attribute type.

Backoffice

  • Autosave. Instant “Save and continue” on backoffice content editing. Now you can save your draft content and you can continue working on that staying on the same page. It also autosaves your work every few seconds.

  • Gravatars. Now the user profile avatar is a Gravatar by default.

  • Helping bits. When you are trying to configure a page having a page model with no frames, a message and a big blue button will give the chance to replace the page model with a better one.

  • First-time messages. Just one of them, but we will keep on adding them in the next releases.

They will introduce you to the new Entando backoffice.

  • New welcome page. An activity stream lists all the actions performed by your fellow co-users.

Finally

With Entando 3.2 we begun the transition from Showlets to Widgets.

While in the 3.2 only few elements were modified, in the 4.0 release the application code was modified accordingly; to ensure backward compatibility old methods had been deprecated.
