  • Make sure the app doesn't allow you to send messages when not connected to an MQTT server
  • Implement a background ping to alert the user if connection lost
  • Store messages if connection lost momentarily, then replay them when connection is restored
  • Potentially a loading wheel if slow connection (hard to simulate)
