OS: Linux, Ubuntu 18.04.4 LTS

Hi, I tried to download some mods, also containing fabric files, onto my MultiMC Launcher. Trying to launch a 1.14.4 version of Minecraft, I have installed Fabric Loader with the recommended version.

And I have put all of the mods including fabric API, with the latest version, and the mods into the Loader Mods.

But when I launch it, I came with this error saying that the Fabric API and the mods are a fabric mod and cannot be loaded.

From this error, I can click proceed to the main menu, continue running the game without the Fabric files and the rest of the mod that I've installed which is not fabric works fine.
Also, I've looked at the Minecraft Log in MultiMC and found that fabric-api-0.13.1+build.257-1.14.jar is missing mods.toml file.

You seem to have installed fabric and forge on the same instance. Likely occurred because you pressed install forge and install fabric. If you make a new instance and don't install forge, it should be fine.

Do note some mods will not work (Optifine namely) as you'll need Optifabric for that

Fabric and Forge at the moment cannot run together

Thank you for responding, I understand that the cause was the conflict between Forge and Fabric. Once I disabled forge and also install optifabric. The game can now run the fabric mod properly. I'll make some adjustments to my version on my own for the other mods.
