Check Rev C Gerbers against Rev B Gerbers to make sure any and all differences are accounted for. The quickest way to do this is to use GerbV to XOR Rev B and Rev C, leaving the differences highlighted.

I needed to change the gerbers to account for Advanced Circuits stackup which changed the 50 Ohm and 100 Ohm traces as well as forced the pullback of some copper ground planes. I also noticed that I had to change a few via's back to 13 mil holes but that didn't show up on the last attempt. Wierd.

Faraday.drl

image

  • Changes are exactly where I'd expect them to be
  • Fixed some wierd holes like vias for the ADC RC filters that had gone to 10 mil drills from 13 but weren't on the last gerber attempt...

Faraday-B_Cu.gbl

image

  • Only GD0 and RF control routing changed on bottom layer as expected
  • Rev B changed to Rev C on outside of board edge markings

Faraday-B_SilkS.gbo

image

  • Faraday and Rev B markings removed from bottom silkscreen layer

Faraday-drl_map.pho

image

  • Drill map shows only changes in GD0 and RF control area.
  • not shown on here is the drill map hole count showing two less 13 mil via's on Rev C, I removed two from the RF SMA connector to keep the ground away from RF microstrip traces.

Faraday-Dwgs_User.gbr

image

  • Only changes on drawings layer are stackup notes for Advanced Circuits stackup changes from previous OSHPark stackup.

Faraday-Eco1_User.gbr

image

  • R7 in power supply area was removed as expected
  • Rev B to Rev C marking outside of board area also updated as expected
  • ADC lines moved to be a more organized layout
  • 100 Ohm and 50 Ohm traces on top layer from CC430 changed due to Advanced Circuits 4 layer PCB stackup
  • Ground copper pulled away from top layer pour near 50 Ohm RF transmission lines
  • GPIO traces moved along with RF control traces for GD0 update as expected

Faraday-F_Mask.gts

image

  • R7 in power supply area changed as expected
  • L10 and nearby component moved so the soldermask moved too

Faraday-F_Paste.gtp

image

  • Same as soldermask, solderpast changed only for R7 in the power supply section and the RF L10 section

Faraday-F_SilkS.gto

image

  • R7 and L10 area's changed as expected for changed component placement
  • Old Faraday logo removed
  • New Faraday logo + OSHW logo added
  • TAPR OHL text added
  • Faraday and Rev C text added
  • X2 pin 1 marker moved

Faraday-InnerA_Cu.gbr

image

  • Only changes on this layer, which is a solid groundplane, are those required with moved via's in the area of GPIO and RF control traces moved for GD0 modifications.
  • Removed ground via's at SMA connector don't show up here since ground via's don't have groundplane layer pullback.
  • Rev B text updated to Rev C outside of board edge area.

Faraday-InnerB_cu.gbr

image

  • Rev B text outside of board area changed to Rev C
  • 50 Ohm trace changed size for Advanced Circuit stackup, ground pour pulled away too.
  • Via's for control traces of GPIO and RF CC1190 moved as needed for GD0 update

Faraday-NPTH-drl_map.pho

image

  • As expected no changes to the non-plated through-hole layer means no changes to the map either!

Faraday-Eco1_User.gbr

image

  • Eco Layer 1 shows rough component courtyards and as expected R7 was removed and the components areound L10 also moved due to 0603 footprint change.
