SDL Hyperion

The original (now "Historical") "TXF" (Transactional-Execution Facility) development version of SDL Hercules 4.x Hyperion

* * *   PLEASE NOTE!   * * *

This is the original "test/experimental" version of SDL Hercules 4.x Hyperion where support for the z/Architecture "Transactional-Execution Facility" (TXF) feature was originally developed.

It is being archived as a permanent record of all commits made during TXF development for legal licensing and/or copyright purposes.

All changes (commits) made to this repository during its development were integrated into the official SDL Hercules 4.x Hyperion repository on May 16, 2020.

This repository is thus considered to be "Historial" and is being archived as a read-only "archived" repository.

No further commits, new GitHub Issues, nor Pull requests will be made to, or accepted for, this repostiory!

(As a read-only repository however, it may still be cloned and/or forked by anyone.)

Hercules is OSI Certified Open Source Software licensed under the terms of the Q Public Licence.

Hercules was originally created by Roger Bowler.

Jay Maynard "the Tron Guy" was the maintainer from 2000 to 2012.

Jan Jaeger designed and implemented many of the advanced features of Hercules, including dynamic reconfiguration, integrated console, interpretive execution and our original z/Architecture support.
