This extension is such an important tool in my day-to-day workflow.
Will you please consider enabling GitHub sponsorships so I can sleep a bit better at night?

The comments below are solely my own and I do not speak on behalf of any other Yomichan contributors:

Financial support gets into a weird gray area with regards to who actually contributes to the project. While I am currently the most active contributor, my contribution frequency has decreased over the past year. Additionally, I am neither the project owner/creator nor am I the exclusive contributor, as the project is open for changes from anyone (via PR). So there would be some general questions of "who receives or should receive the support?" and other logistical issues. I am also effectively anonymous.

There are also potential implications that funding the project will give the funder a higher level of support, such as priority issues or feature requests. Personally, I can't make any guarantees with regards to my availability to work on the project, nor can I make any guarantees about making releases, as the release process is not something I control.

There is more rationale I could get into, but to keep it brief, and to at least provide you with some response so you can sleep better at night: I am glad that Yomichan is helpful to you and the gesture is appreciated, but my response for now is "not at this time, but thanks!"
