Now, we include some basic texture modifications that we were never able to work on before.
They are:

  • Roughness Intensity
  • Normals Intensity
  • UV Texture Rotation

All of these can be changed via our Megascan Widget too.

Upgrade guide for modified materials

This is a backward-compatible release.
But if you have created a Custom Material Layer, you may need to add some new parameters to control the above features.

Now Landscape Deform support works with World Partition too.

Our Landscape Deform support didn't work for World Partition since we were not sending data to the Material inside "Streaming Proxies".
This will fix that issue.

Fixing some Texture Sampling Issues

There were issues with Texture Sampling, it restricts to use of multiple custom layers. This is a fix for that.,

Introducing the Autoless Material

With this release, we will release a version of OpenLand without auto-blending.

But Why?

Because now we can make auto-layers inside the Editor using TerrainMagic. It's simple & gives us a lot of flexibility.
That's why we include this version of the Material.
