Xyna Modeller

The Xyna Modeller contains the applications that are relevant from design time right to production. Graphical and intuitive usability have been at the heart of the program’s design while interfaces for the development in external tools are supplied for technical implementations.

The Xyna Modeller offers all functionality that is required from initial process modeling through Order Type configuration (Capacity requirements, priorities, Monitoring configuration, etc.) to actual execution and monitoring of running processes. The Xyna Modeller's fundamental constituents are:

The Xyna Modeller can be extended by the Test Factory, which enables the creation and management of complex test projects.

The tools offered by the Xyna Modeller use a unified language from the point on at which specialists design the solution up to the integration with supplementary Java code. This allows for the continuous development process without media discontinuity from graphical specification through modeled (and executable) Workflows on the functional level up to the technical implementation of code. Thus users of completely different background are offered a uniform platform for collaborative work (cf. Collaborative Modeling).

Throughout the process of modeling the focus is put on functionally relevant aspects. All used Data Types and Process Steps represent functionally motivated components, which leads to a high level of reusability and an easy understanding of the modeled processes. Modeled objects can be reused in other contexts in the sense of a Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA).

Workflows modeled using the Xyna Process Modeller are immediately executable. On the one hand this enables experimental execution of processes at development time and on the other hand it allows for the introduction of new processes during operation.

In addition to that, graphically modeled processes while executable at the same time offer an understandable documentation that is always up to date and that can be included in external documents.
