Hello,

Do plan to upgrade frontview for the final Version of Kodi19

Thinking on it - it is not something that I use currently.
19 should be the same, but plugin won’t work because of python3 change.

Subscribed and anxiously awaiting the plugin update with python3 so we can get it working again with Kodi since many for updated to Kodi 19. Would appreciate the effort and thx in advance !

Found you on Youtube - looks good.

Would suggest turn on Logos though in Kodi (discovered with this update need Library enabled for full Logo support - quick refresh on start enough though)

Still some work to do on Logos... 1.326 hopefully will fix...

Given your setup(s):
Might be motivated to take feature requests: (although this code base is old and convoluted, and takes me hours to follow...)

• ?Appropriate Fanart even when NowPlaying?
• Screen format changes, primarily for a display something is playing screen - although I do hate that display stuff...

Kodi Matrix:
Updates to Remotes to fix fanart images and logos sometimes not appearing.
(if ongoing issues check Fanart for the file in Kodi - if thumb/poster/fanart exist FV should appropriate show them)
Everyone:
Big Update to Movie Icons:
Change to using Kodi Skin Standard Icons - change in file formatting.
(These are all Flags within the Texture.xbt of Skin - same directory structure can just copy and Paste)
See :
/Skin/Default/Icons/aspectratio and audiochannels, and resolution, contents etc.
These can be replaced from any Kodi Skins equivalent - which has the same structure.
Likewise - creating another Skin Directory would give multiple options
Skin/MyChange/Icons/....

Compatible with all Skins - different skins can have different Movie Icons.
Defaults to colour Ones as seems best selective

4k/DTS-X/ATMOS added
Updated Movie Cases in library to include 4k Ultra

could you please advise how to update/ add the services.addon to Kodi? I don't see Watchdog under services anymore in Kodi 19?

I removed the legacy kodi addon, and disabling the webserver password I can verify the remote in Frontview but cannot add it. I click add and wait several minutes and does not add.

Remote:
If click verify and verfies - Icon changes/Shows version details below. Click Add and the remote is added.
Can then just click cancel to get out.
The remote will stay there.

Password works, should not need to disable it. If verfies == working, just click add and then cancel to close the remote window. (the remote is already added)
Just enter Kodi username, password in the boxes.
Possible - may be issue with special characters - try simple password.

Service.Addon: (Not Watchdog == service FrontView Matrix, someone else made that mistake ages ago. Because of photo in old manual)

Installer should install it to %appdata%/Kodi/addons/service.FrontView-python3
Can be retrieved from there and service.FrontView-python3 directory copied toi where Kodi service addons go
(should be at the spot installed to)
[Also installs service.FrontView - that is the old one, won't be used in Kodi matrix as Python 2.25 not compatible]

Within Kodi
Go to Addons
My Addons
Go to Services

Find FrontView Service
Configure IP address and Port
(defaults to local machine - so I suspect you will want to change that)

Enable.

Just noticed titles are wrong (cosmetic) Once going don't need to access. First one is IP address, second Port, Rest can be Nos. Will fix that when figure out what Kodi change has happened
Edit: Fixed in new upload of 1.330 -( Matrix uses string.po rather than string.xml....)

Thank you Glen. I use Nvidia Shield (Android TV)to run Kodi so trying to see how I can install the add on there as I can't find the folder to create in add-ons. Wonder if there is a way to install this add-on via a repository
