How spawn more child tasks when a recurring task has reach until time?

Sometimes I want to reuse a recurring task after it has reach until time. But modifying its due to today and change until to the future does not seem to trigger spawning of new child tasks.

Is there any way I can achieve this without adding new recurring tasks?
