Restore Wallet

If you already have a grin wallet, but want to start enjoying the speed, security, and usability of Grin++, it's straight-forward to restore your existing wallet, as long as you still have your original seed words.

  1. From the main screen, click RESTORE WALLET.

  1. Enter the username of your choice, and choose a secure password. After entering your credentials, populate the Wallet Words section with the 12-24 words you were asked to write down when you first created your wallet. Make sure all of the words are spelled correctly, and there is a single space between each word.

Once all of the information is entered, clickRESTORE WALLET.

Restore Account

  1. If your wallet words were entered correctly, you should see the following screen. If you had any unspent grins, they would be restored and shown here.

NOTE: Although Grin++ is lightning fast, and syncs anywhere from 2x-5x faster than any other client, it still takes a few minutes to download the entire blockchain. If this process isn't complete, some of your grins may not be restored yet. Once syncing is complete (indicated by the green 'running' status in the lower left), simply click the REFRESH button and in less than 5 seconds, the entire blockchain will be scanned for any missing grins belonging to you.
