I love Edge's New Tab Page video of the day feature, but I do not use any of the other features it provides. With everything else disabled, even tho some requests are cached, it still triggers 70+ requests. It is also impossible to hide the extra search bar, which I do not use that's why I decided to create my own New Tab Page.
- Lightweight New Tab Page displaying an Editor's Choice Pixabay video.
- No extra search bar, no top sites, no news, no weather, no clock, no nothing, just a video.
- The video of the day and the next video are downloaded once and cached using a service worker.
- The list of videos is refreshed every week.
- Specific videos can be blocked using a tiny API hosted on a Cloudflare Worker.
