emacs.app sometimes hangs on startup

Unless you think Homebrew is mis-compiling this software, you may have better luck asking this question on an emacs specific forum.

Did you install with parameter --HEAD?
If so, I advise you to reinstall it.

Well, I install it like this:

brew install emacs --cocoa --srgb --use-git-head --with-ns --HEAD

You can omit --use-git-head and --HEAD if you like...

I'm also seeing this behavior after installing with the --cocoa --srgb --HEAD options. Emacs hangs on startup with high CPU consumption. After force-quitting and restarting one or more times, it eventually will load with normal CPU consumption.

You might want to try to run without your .emacs.d?
Or run it in a terminal emacs -q?

I don't see these issues locally, and we don't have a flood of other reports. Try checking your startup scripts or asking in emacs related forums. (I don't suspect that we are mis-compiling emacs in a way that causes this.)
