Another potential development for password's gameplay is Bullet Train mode.

Bullet Train mode switches from requiring to fulfill a complete string of keys (a password) for placing random keys in the line and awarding points for hitting each key separately.

The timer would instead indicate the time until losing a portion of the score – e.g. half of value of a successful key. For that purpose, "round time" would be reduced significantly: if 5 seconds is the default (as it currently is), 1 second per key should provide a roughly-equivalent challenge.

Timer for Bullet Train mode would activate at the standard duration and proceed at the standard pace, but each successful key would award some time – say, a third of a second – staving off the end of the round. Once timer reaches zero, just like in the standard mode, the round is over.

Bullet Train mode would see its high score tracked separately.
