E.coli strain scope and selection criteria

Hi professor, thanks for your great job in developing KIDS. I have a question about the scope of the research. There are many different strains around the world, the materials introduced in your publication showed that annotation about E.coli K-12 was collected. So why did your set limitation like this and why not any other strains were included?
