Streaming is nice, but not when you don't have wifi. It would be nice to be able to cache a few videos for when you're offline. As long as it doesn't default to "download all", because that would take up way too much space for a screensaver.

Also, not sure how to tag it as 'enhancement', but this is that, not a bug.

Ideally, a "Cache" checkbox beside each video (in addition to the on/off checkbox you already have) and the amount of disk space it will take. Plus a total cached size listed somewhere.

This is an amazing little screensaver already though!

Really want to join the cache version, the China network is too bad.

At home it works, in the office it just displays a play-button. I guess, it's an issue with the proxy. If the videos got cached, that would solve the problem, that the videos cannot be download (for whatever reason).

I already add a basic cache. You can try it on https://github.com/yourtion/Aerial .

I am trying to follow those directions to manually manage a cache, but not seeing "OpenCacheDirectory" anywhere in its "Screen Saver Options." Has this new version been uploaded yet?

@Fofer you should download or clone my git and use the Aerial.saver

Thanks yourtion, I tried that version, but the Options panel doesn't display properly for me (I'm on OS X 10.10.5 currently.)

I can click the button, and it works, but obviously this isn't ideal:

Reverted back to the original version and it works fine.

Thank you. @yourtion :) It is working for me.
But the screen saver options window will list the screen saver videos only after there is at least one video in the cache directory. It does not show anything in the list on starting first time and this will confuse users.

Please update the Download from Github link in the Readme.md in your fork.

I just uploaded a version that supports automatically caching videos https://github.com/JohnCoates/Aerial/releases/tag/v1.2beta

I'll be adding a button in preferences to cache everything at once soon

May I suggest that the download button respect the selected videos settings and only download the checked videos? Currently it seems to download all videos.
