This request is simple and does absolutely nothing. Just to test the connection. If you get a response, the server is out there.

[0x00] or [0x01]
0 byte means that the server is reachable but the password ID is wrong so access denied and all other requests with this password ID will just fail (no response). 1 means everything's okay. See main page of extension documentation to get an explanation for the password ID.
