If people doesn't have a smart device:

  • Only local markers
  • Copy local markers

If people have a smart device:

  • Digital map tools
  • Blufor tracker
  • Sync markers (group/side)
  • Show/hide group/side markers
  • Data link with laser designators?

I'm working on a tablet and I think it's ready to upload in 1 or 2 weeks.

We could use AGM_Core_fnc_ambientBrightness to darken the map when playing at night.
Similar to #1764

Yep, I would like that. There's a shacktack mod that does that, but I don't have any idea how it works. Simple PP filter?

That could work.

We could even try to colorize it depending on time of day. Orange during dusk and dawn, blue at night

I feel like the whole markers-local-to-your-map-only thing would be off-putting to the majority of players, myself included, so it should be opt-in. I like the idea of map brightness.

(hope I'm on the right page)
Have you considered keyboard shortcuts for the positioning of map tools, similarly to the way it was implemented in ACE2?
It seems that positioning the "0" mark with an "H+click", then aligning the ruler with a "J+click" would be less frustrating than dragging and rotating the map tools with the mouse.
