Hi all. Happy new KeePassDX user here. I started to use KeePassDX a couple of weeks ago to replace LastPass for my personal needs.
I love the "keyfile" feature offered by KeePassXC on PC (Linux) and KeePassDX on Android as a form of 2FA. I'm currently keeping my keyfile on a USB pen.
I would love even more to have NFC support, like the one offered by NFC Password Safe by Rumplecoder. It would be faster and easier to use.
NFC Password Safe just uses the NFC tag identifier as its master password but KeePassDX could easily store its keyfile inside the Tag, keeping the whole system compatible with KeePassXC on PC. The storage system would be different but the keyfile would remain the same.
Please note that I'm aware that KeePassDX 3.5 will support YubiKey HMAC-SHA1. I used YubiKey NFC (60US$) with BitWarden Pro for the last few years on my smartphone for my professional needs and I love this solution but I also use an NFC ring (2 US$) with NFC Password Safe for other applications and I appreciate its lower price and its ease of use.
I'm also aware that the NFC tag can be easily cloned and hence cannot be intended as a "security token" but the same is true for any USB storage device.
What do you think? Is this something that could be of any interest to other users, as well?
