For what I can assure you is a very good reason, I am automating whether an automation track is muted.

When I leave the project and come back, the automation track muting other automation track loses all its connections. So, it isn't connected to them anymore.

Does this happen in all cases, or is this unusual?

I don't recall having trouble when muting other types of tracks... so it is either just for automation tracks, or this is a special case. Or my memory's just bad.
