Notes Stacking When Using Sustain Pedal #6941

When holding the sustain pedal on a keyboard, pressing the same note twice will cause them to play in unison. Pressing them repeatedly creates unbearably loud noise.

On other programs, or at least on my piano keyboard when playing it with sound, playing the same note twice while the sustain pedal is pressed down stops the preexisting note. One key should only be making one sound.

This occurs on Linux on the following versions:
Version 1.3.0-alpha.1.437+g476a56e71
Version 1.2.2

might be good to make this revertible as there may be some workflows that rely on this behaviour
