Is there an IRC/Slack channel anywhere to discuss various approaches and details of implementation?

Regarding communication channels, you can join #librepcb on Freenode or https://telegram.me/LibrePCB_dev (they're both bridged). Additionally, we're in the process of setting up a Discourse instance.

But for discussing the approaches and details of this issue, the best place to discuss is probably here on Github 🙂

FYI, I started to work on this to create updated screenshots for the new website. Probably I'll create a python package for that, but it's not ready yet.
