(After a long search for a suitable and living Python DBus library I found this one. I hope you don't mind some users/testers/contributors.)

The requirements.txt say

This library has no required dependencies. These dependencies are only for running the test suite and documentation generator.

although the asyncdbus/message_bus.py requires outcome even for the standard use. One of the two feels wrong.
