Creating a new Location

A Location is an individual space or place that users will experience through your website and/or app.
Typically, Locations are represented as points on a map, while Areas are represented as polygons.
This means that, in general, the best way to include something like a historic building in a Project would be to create a Location. If you wanted to include something like a neighborhood, creating an Area would be most appropriate.
Once you have created a new Project you can start adding/creating new Locations.
To get started,
- Select Locations from the menu on the left.
- Click on the dots to the right of the Project you want the new Location to be in.
- Scroll down and select New Location. This will open a default map tool.
- Find the place you're interested in by typing in the search bar, zooming in/out, or dragging the map. Drop the pin to select the location. When you're happy, click Done!
- Follow the instructions on the page to add content and media to your new location. When you're done, click Save Location.
