Spacing between buttons

Hi there,

I closed my previous issue as I wanted to look into things myself a bit more, however I'm not making any progress.

Ever since I've updated to 2022.11 & theme v1.8 I'm seeing excessive (vertical spacing) in between buttons:

Not sure if this is just the result of my formatting or not, however it only started occurring after the upgrade to 2022.11. Vertical spacing appears to be 4px while horizontal spacing is 2px. I have also tried theme v1.9 and v2, but the issue seems to persist regardless of theme version. Has anyone managed to find a fix for this? Thank you in advance!

I believe that this is largely due to #8, which is still blocked by thomasloven/lovelace-layout-card#194 after a year.
