03. Installation
Navigate to the GitHub at https://github.com/Mirdain/Silmaril/releases. From there download the latest version. The Main Release can be found at the bottom and is generally the most stable release, but will be lacking in new features. The beta version is the latest and greatest but there may be some bugs we are working through.
Download the Silmaril.exe and Silmaril.zip files.
Place the exe somewhere convienent for use, general suggestion is within in your Windower folder within its own folder named Silmaril.
The zip files are unzipped and placed in a Silmaril folder within Windower addons.
With FFXI running type in the console lua load silmaril or in the chat input //lua load silmaril. Then run the exe as administrator. Upon first opening you may get a prompt from Windows Defender because it doesn’t recognize the application. Click More info then Run anyway. The program should sync to the .lua file and is now ready for setup.
Add a line to the init.txt located at *\Windower\scripts
lua l silmaril
Or if using plugin_manager addon, navigate to *\Windower\addons\plugin_manager\data and open the settings.xml file, then add this line to default addons
<addon>Silmaril</addon>
