On archlinux aur, I can install EternalTerminal with yay -S eternalterminal. However it is conflicting with /usr/bin/et provided by wps-office package.

/usr/bin/et is owned by wps-office 11.1.0.9505-1

Although it is not the issue of EternalTerminal, what is the recommended way to deal with this situation?

Also looking for ubuntu and CentOS packages that installs to /usr/local/ instead to avoid conflict.

A package maintainer would probably change the binary name to eternal or eternalterminal.

Alternatively, you may repack WPS Office to prefix its commands. Here is my demo: https://github.com/Rongronggg9/wps-office-repack (IDK how to repack non-deb packages, PR is welcomed!)
