Different tools are used for different things,

  • Linking Tools are used to help link pedestals together

  • Upgrade Tool can Help remove Upgrades from the block, as well as seeing the inner details of the machine and upgrade in a more human readable format.

  • Tool Swapper can remove inserted tools from the block

  • Filter Tool can help remove Filters from the pedestal, as well as seeing the Filter Settings without needing to remove it.

  • Tag Tool can help with figuring out the "tag" names for items in the game (JEI mod can replace its use depending on its configuration)

  • Dev Tool Used in the offhand by Creative Mode players to break pedestals (unlike mek bins or drawers, pedestals do not have a side that cannot be interacted with, thus a tool is necessary to break this in creative.)
