Add support for Xamarin.Mac #77
Comments
Agreed. If I start the port will you do some samples? |
OK - depending on time frame ;) |
Following Friday's success in WPF, I had a quick play with the Mac projects this morning... I got a UI up and running in a non-Mvvm project really quickly. Then I got a library project up and got lots of the concepts ported across... so I was quite optimistic. However, it looks like the Mac projects might not support PCLs in which case I may hold off on doing anything more on this until they do - it's too hard to maintain the non-PCL approach - there are too many files involve :( Asked a question over on http://forums.xamarin.com/discussion/599/portable-class-libraries-supported It feels like PCLs could be at the heart of Xamarin's approach - but currently they much prefer file linking... Sorry! But hopefully soon :) |
OK, thx! |
Currently with Xamarin - https://bugzilla.xamarin.com/show_bug.cgi?id=9163 I could implement this without PCLs... but in the long term I'm committing to PCLs as they make my life easier (not the best reason perhaps, but it's a reason!) |
Implemented without PCLs - so hopefully will port back to PCLs soon... when Xam say yes... http://slodge.blogspot.co.uk/2013/01/orsum-mvvmcross-on-xamarinmac.html |
Closing this - the work continues via #126 - but there are pcl issues currently :/ |
