In the current version of the application, a large panel is displayed at the bottom (by the way, the fact that this is a sliding panel is completely non-obvious). It is needed only to notify the user about the number of current recipients of the coordinates of this device.
Describe the solution you'd like
The same functionality would be clearer, for example, in the form of a round indicator-button in the lower left corner of the screen with the number of recipients of the current device's coordinates.
Describe alternatives you've considered
In general, remove this indicator. In Google Maps, a similar function works flawlessly without displaying anything extra on the main screen, and even on the system notification bar. And it's quite convenient. Don't display all possible variables just because you can.

I'm not sure what you mean by that. You don't need to slide the panel to the right to open it, you just need to swipe it up

Could you share a screenshot of this indicator? I'm not sure what you mean. Make sure to crop it or black out your area. If you don't want to post it online, you can also send me it via Matrix.

In this case, under "sliding" and "swiping" I mean the same thing - "press and, without releasing, pull". Please forgive me if this contradicts the strict definitions of these terms. I'm not a mobile developer, not even a developer at all.

I did not mean that there is such an indicator in Google Maps. I was thinking about how to keep the user notified that their location is currently being broadcast, and at the same time make this notification less cumbersome than it is now. Imagine a round speed limit sign placed at the bottom left of the screen. The number specified in it will be the number of currently active shares.
Alternatively, you can stretch this sign horizontally and display two values in it: the number of shares that are currently active, and the number of shares that are enabled, but not currently active, according to the schedule.
Finally, even three values can be specified: two from the previous option + the number of Views.
Another option for consideration: in order to clear the main screen as much as possible, these values can be transferred by an item to the burger menu (to the list of the "Settings", "Shares Overview", "Import Share" and "Share Location" items).
Or like this: tapping on the map hides all interface elements, leaving only the map and tracks on the screen. Tapping again displays counters, a compass symbol, a current location center symbol, and a burger.
