warc.gz files not accepted for importing

Are you submitting a bug report or a feature request?

I created a gzipped-compressed WARC, a standard format for WARC storage (and default for some tools) and was told via a notification that .gz files cannot be added.

What is the current behavior?

Notification reporting that the file could not be added.

What is the expected behavior?

Accept and process the WARC.

What's your environment?

macOS 10.12.6
WAIL 1.2.0-beta3

Other information

Changing the file name from foo.warc.gz to foo.warc allowed the WARC to be accepted into WAIL.
