This step is required in order to build a consistent dataset of MC distributions and parameter values for a reference tune performed with standard tools, e.g. Professor, and the for the future machine learning techniques which may require cross-validation implementation.

This step requires the implementation of:

  • configuration cards for the MC run (pythia)
  • storage of the events in this repository or in a git lfs repository depending on how large the dataset is.
  • validate the results with plots (e.g. using yoda)

I have created a new repository for the MC runs at https://github.com/scarrazza/mcnntunes_data.
@mlazzarin could you please upload your runs there?

@scarrazza Professor and Mcnntune require different directories structures and data formats. Should I upload the runs in both versions or just in the one ready to be used with mcnntune?

Yes, please upload both.

Ok, I'm uploading the first dataset. The second and bigger one will be ready in a few days.
