Agenda:

  • Digitization Status at Herb C
How are Collections Managers finding digitization?
How can we support them in digitizing?

  • Digitization Status at Herb AAU
    How is Charlotte finding digitization?
What are the current challenges and how can we support them?
Table ordered, lamps here, waiting for confirmation on enclosure.

  • Cultivated Specimens
    From Issues Log Entry 126
"Loco ignoto vel cult." folders are used for specimens that are cultivated or specimens with uncertain or no locations, that can't be placed in more specific folders.
Cultivated specimens will usually have this info on their labels, but labels of specimens of uncertain location will have very little info.
Therefor the CMs would like to be able to indicate that a specimen is from this type of folder in the Digi App.
Christian suggested adding a new location under Broad geographic region "Dania ignoto vel cult." to indicate that the specimen has unknown location within Denmark or might be cultivated.

  • QA
    Process and reporting issues
    There are things to re-image
Importance of being vigilant when selecting the fields in the Ingestion Client

  • Capsules
    Issues encountered in QAing images
    From https://github.com/NHMDenmark/DaSSCo-Image-Refinery/issues/310#issuecomment-2310078595
There was a Steering Group level decision that DaSSCo resources would not be use to digitize the contents of containers, both for the safety of specimens and the consideration of time spent digitizing specimens in the context of a mass digitization project.
