Niftynet meeting 5th march 2018

  1. New features:

    • Registration
    • Random flipping and rotation More augmentation possible
    • Unpaired samplers available (CycleGAN examples)
    • Evaluation back in integrated
    • Evaluation Image Maps (Action Carole)
    • Event hooks possible -> Dynamic training possible / Similar to Keras callbacks
  2. Git Hub transition

    • Pb of CI - Need to link with GPU. Jenkins possible server - Dzhosh liaising with Alan
    • Pb of divergence between GitHub and clone at local university level
    • Action: Jenkins server to be tested locally before proper set up of Github branch
  3. Config files reconfiguration

    • Yaml
    • Everything in issue branch Issue 189. Everyone to look into NiftyNet/config/issue-189/yml/niftynet.yml
  4. Graphic identity / Communication

    • Logo Niftynet - Graphical identity - Open Logo’s competition - Zach to take on
    • Website -> part of a repo to be maintained more easily - New GitHub repo for the website
    • Carole to contact T.W to see about website transition
  5. IO

    • Meeting on the 14th March: Eli Felix Wenqi Carole
    • Specific reader type per input - text, databases, histology files...
    • IO meeting - Input of text file Histology files, files to big to load, databases
  6. Back log of issues

    • Issue back log. How to guide people towards things they need to work on. Project manager to involve
    • Agreed to be on development team and willing to take on task assignment: Dzhosh Tom Wenqi Zach Eli Felix Carole Still need to decide about project manager. Task allocation on a month to month. Strategic vision from version to version.
  7. Novelties awareness

    • Creation of slack channel for novelties
    • Tim and Sebastiano to be added on slack
  8. DLTK vs NiftyNet Merging of DLTK and NiftyNet? DLTK more into developing modules to be integrated. No approval for merger.

  9. General support StackOverFlow Niftynet tag Action: Fernando to prepare template issue/request for GitHub
