Notes:

  • the current package is broken — I receive error: cadquery-2.0 not supported for interpreter python3.10 when trying cadquery or error: networkx-2.8.6 not supported for interpreter python3.7 when trying CQ-editor.
  • seems quite tricky to package the new version — I have a failed attempt in package modern version of cadquery / cq-editor #222734 which anyone is welcome to try and use.
  • There seems to be a flake available at https://github.com/marcus7070/cq-flake — I haven't tried it yet though. Hopefully anyone interested in trying this package will benefit from this mention.

The flake linked above does seem to work; thanks! I hope we can get this into nixpkgs someday, but it does seem like a bear.

I've been tinkering on and off with getting it to compile for aarch64-darwin; it looks like they now have a version working on conda-forge, so I know it's possible.
