Description of changes

It was added due to jdk 7. JDK 7 has been removed so this is not needed anymore.

Things done

  • Built on platform(s)
    • x86_64-linux
    • aarch64-linux
    • x86_64-darwin
    • aarch64-darwin
  • For non-Linux: Is sandboxing enabled in nix.conf? (See Nix manual)
    • sandbox = relaxed
    • sandbox = true
  • Tested, as applicable:
  • Tested compilation of all packages that depend on this change using nix-shell -p nixpkgs-review --run "nixpkgs-review rev HEAD". Note: all changes have to be committed, also see nixpkgs-review usage
  • Tested basic functionality of all binary files (usually in ./result/bin/)
  • 23.11 Release Notes (or backporting 23.05 Release notes)
    • (Package updates) Added a release notes entry if the change is major or breaking
    • (Module updates) Added a release notes entry if the change is significant
    • (Module addition) Added a release notes entry if adding a new NixOS module
  • Fits CONTRIBUTING.md.

I don't know if it makes sense but couldn't it alias to apacheAnt instead? 🤔

We can do that but it's weird to alias ant 1.9 to ant 1.10. Did we do that in other cases? If it's the convention I have no problem to follow it.

Hmm I don't know what convention is on the matter. It is just a thought from a UX perspective to avoid unnecessary throws when users upgrade their systems.

I thought it's better to throw instead of alias to another version and maybe breaks something else later.
