We have about a thousand unique visitors per hour. The post cache currently stores up to a megabyte of post content. According to /admin/advanced/cache, our average post size is 624 and we have 1677 posts in the cache.

Caching 1677 posts might be fine for a smaller forum, but we've had 738 posts created across 45 topics so far today. 11 of those topics have more than a thousand posts, and 3 of them have more than ten thousand posts.
