I did a fresh install of BG3SE and put DWrite.dll in the bin folder like it's supposed to be, however now BG3 mod manager won't recognize that I had had a version of BG3SE installed previously. which admittedly was pretty old, and I did just update to the latest hotfix which at the time of writing this is #23. so I don't know if that's why it is having problems or if it's something else. but it seems weird that it doesn't recognize the old one either. I did delete my entire generated folder that some mods put into the data folder. does the script extender put files in the generated folder? because that would explain why my script extender isn't recognized anymore, although I think there was a period of time between deleting that folder and doing my fresh BG3SE install where it did still recognize my BG3SE I used to have. also when I start BG3 to get the BG3SE to uodate I get this error popup on my screen.

so I don't know if that's helpful or not. I hope it is. hopefully someone can help me figure this out. thanks in advance.

I am having the same issue. Is it not compatible with Hotfix 23? If so, how do I revert to that version? How do I find the steam patch code to revert?

Hi,

This happens if you specify an extender version in your ScriptExtenderUpdaterConfig.json that no longer exists.

I deleted that file in the bin folder and it works. Thank you.

I had some issue with the SE updater... in the last days it sometime launch the game but not the script extender, I have to close the process open the preferences and save them, then relaunch via BGMM and it works...
Never happened before, could be related?
